What is the difference between autologous and allogeneic stem cells?+
Autologous stem cells are collected from your own body (such as bone marrow or fat tissue). Allogeneic stem cells come from a screened donor source, most commonly umbilical cord tissue. Both routes require licensed medical assessment and documented lab quality.
What are umbilical cord-derived MSCs?+
Umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSCs) are donor-derived MSCs processed in a licensed lab from screened umbilical cord donations. Quality depends on donor screening, viability testing, sterility, and documentation.
What are Wharton's Jelly MSCs?+
Wharton's Jelly MSCs are mesenchymal stem cells isolated from the Wharton's Jelly layer of donated umbilical cord tissue. Source, lab handling, screening, and certificate of analysis are the key quality questions.
What is the difference between MSC and HSC?+
MSCs (mesenchymal stromal / stem cells) come from sources such as bone marrow, fat, or umbilical cord tissue. HSCs (hematopoietic stem cells) are blood-forming cells used in hematology contexts. The two are different categories and should not be conflated.
Is higher cell count always better?+
Not necessarily. Cell count is only one parameter. Viability percentage, sterility, marker verification, processing quality, and doctor-led protocol design also matter.
What is viability testing?+
Viability testing measures the percentage of live, functional cells in a batch. It is a basic quality parameter that should be documented on the certificate of analysis.
What documents should I ask for before stem cell consultation?+
Ask for the certificate of analysis (cell count, viability, sterility, marker profile), donor screening documentation for allogeneic cells, a written doctor's plan, and clear aftercare instructions.
Can I send medical reports before traveling to Thailand?+
Yes. Sending recent lab work, imaging, specialist letters, and a summary of your goals in advance helps us prepare a relevant consultation pathway with a licensed physician.
Can your team help me choose suitable clinic options in Bangkok?+
Yes. After reviewing your concern and documents, our coordination team can suggest suitable clinic options in Bangkok based on your goals, medical history, and preferred care style.
Can LINNA Clinic be introduced for selected cases?+
For selected cases, our coordination team may introduce premium Bangkok clinic options, including LINNA Clinic, when it appears suitable for clients who prefer doctor-led consultation, personalized wellness planning, and a private clinical environment.
Can results be guaranteed?+
No. We never guarantee outcomes and we do not claim to cure any disease. Results vary depending on each person's diagnosis, age, condition, history, and treatment plan.
Why is doctor assessment required?+
Stem cell consultation involves living biological products and individual medical context. A licensed physician must assess suitability, risks, and realistic expectations before any plan is finalized.
